Nigel Farage Claims Teachers of ‘Indoctrinating Children’ on Racial Topics

The political figure stated that teachers would go on strike shortly after a success at the polls for his party, charging that they are “harming young minds” by telling children that black pupils are victims and Caucasian students are perpetrators.

At a gathering for a Michigan-based religious institution, the politician expressed his perspective on the UK education system, claiming that the “Marxist left” had “taken over schooling”.

“I expect a walkout by educators soon after winning the next general election,” Farage commented in response to questions.

“They are poisoning our kids. They are telling them to be ashamed of their country. They inform an eight-year-old black child that he is a victim and little Oliver, who is white, who is eight that he is an oppressor. They create division, instead of fostering unity. They promote this negative culture.”

In response to these assertions, Daniel Kebede rejected the notion that the schools were under Marxist influence as “absurd”. Kebede noted that industrial action must relate to educators’ working conditions, and doubted whether Reform would attack these immediately upon entering government.

“The politician has crafted his political career on coded rhetoric and now, similar to other figures, he is targeting educators and their organizations for a conflict,” Kebede stated.

“This is highly reckless. I don’t – and nor does my union – advocate such divisive theories as he’s suggesting … If he were to lead the government he would sell out our public services, particularly schooling … and he would be a disaster for education and children.”

The party, which tops surveys by a significant margin, has provided limited specifics on a proposed education policy and seems not to have appointed an education spokesperson.

Nonetheless, his comments suggested the party would overhaul the educational framework. He said: “We have got a massive job with schooling – truly monumental. Moreover, we can’t do it in six months or a year; it will take us years, a long-term effort to reform.”

Farage expressed that gen Z was more open to critical thinking, but older youth were “completely lost”.

Paying tribute to Charlie Kirk, Farage said: “All I want education to do to foster independent thought – to instruct people that there are two points of view and they should decide for themselves as opposed to what’s happening now where views are labeled good or bad. This is a huge undertaking in the UK and US.”

Reform has previously clashed with the UK’s largest teaching union, after Kebede called the party “extremist and prejudiced” and dismissed Farage as “a poundshop Donald Trump”.

Farage has accused the union head with being “a self-declared Marxist” … an individual intent that our children should be poisoned at school, their minds should be poisoned regarding national issues” and maintained that the union is trying to indoctrinate teenagers against Reform.

Almost one million people are employed in education in the UK, with educators comprising half and the others teaching assistants and support staff. The major education union has about 450,000 members.

Countrywide walkouts over teacher pay and conditions in 2023 led to significant interruptions in educational institutions and extensive missed instruction for children.

During the American gathering, the Reform leader also pledged to help spread the online educational material of the Christian college in the UK. He said such groups were “part of the fightback”, adding that: “I mean this. I’ll assist attract vast numbers of youth to these educational programs. I make that commitment now and I will follow through.”

The institution, a small private Christian college, provides complimentary classes. According to its online description: “Comprehensive learning is vital for well-being and to maintain the benefits of civil and religious liberty. It offers these excellent programs for no charge to all who wish to learn.”
